My cousin Ashley is engaged! :) Here is a picture of her with Vinny. They are living in Chicago (but met in Columbus) and are planning to get married July 12, 2008 in Las Vegas! She loves Vegas! :) So, I guess the plan in to get married at The Venetian, which looks beautiful!
Nothing else is really going on this week. :) Nora is walking more, but still too lazy to walk ALL the time. :) Last night Mike Bell was "bribing" her with DVD's and candles to get her to walk to him. :) It worked. :)

More Pictures
Here's Nora with our DVD's. She is very insistent that they are books and gets frusterated with us when we can't turn the pages. It's cute to us, frustrating for her! :)

Nora's Pigtails
Here's some pictures from this week. Nora's hair is finally long enough for pigtails! :) She was so busy, I couldn't get a great picture, but they are cute anyway! :)
There is also some pictures of her playing on the chair with her blanky and the remote. :) It seems that every day she is growing and changing! :)

Catching Up
Well, it has been a LONG time since I posted anything! It's been a crazy week! :) Where do I even begin.
Nora had her 15 month check up and she's doing really well. :) Her height was 30 1/4 inches (41 Percentile); her Weight was 19.13 lb (8 percentile); her Head Circumference was 18 1/4 cm (62 percentile). So, she's growing and doing well.
The Doctor is taking her off her heart monitor and stopping all prescriptions. So, we can officially get rid of all that. (We haven't been using them for a couple months anyway!) We still don't have any answers about her previous episodes and will need to see the cardiologist again. She has a hole in her heart and a murmur as well. If this doesn't close up, she could have a condition that would require antibiotics for certain procedures (like going to the Dentist). It isn't much of a concern now, but when she's in her 50's, it could pose a problem.
She's finally cut another tooth. She now has 3 bottom teeth! :)
I feel like she's getting more active EVERY DAY! She loves to climb on top of things. The other day, she spend like 20 minutes climbing up and getting down off of a plastic storage tub. She climbs onto the couch (and back down) with great ease!!
She has just started taking an interest in Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood! She is captivated by them! :) It's pretty funny to watch her.
Her temper and will are definitely coming out too!!! She can be a screamer!!! It's been a challenge.
She also has decided that she LOVES books. She brings them to us, says "Peas" and finds her way into your lap. She flips through the book and when we don't read to her, she "Reads" to us! It is quite comical! I got a video of it and will hopefully post it sometime soon! (I have to figure out HOW to do that first). I think we'll have to get some more books, because Mommy is getting a little bored reading the same ones OVER AND OVER!!! :)
A quick story...
Last Monday, we noticed that the toilet started getting slow. It just wouldn't flush right. So, we called our landlord and they sent someone to take a look. He tried multiple things...and ended up taking the toilet OFF. Finally, after an hour, he says "I think I found the culprit!" It seems our Little Princess Baby Girl figured out how to flush the toilet!!!!!
Anyway, we had quite a laugh about that one! Thankfully, we live in an apartment and didn't have to pay to have someone fish the bath toy out!!!!
I'll post some recent pictures soon!

Nora's First Word
So, I think we can say that Nora has officially said her FIRST word (other than Da). She is saying "please". I've been trying to get her to say it when she wants something the last few weeks and now she says it when she wants something (without coaching!)! So, I just thought I'd pass it on to all of you!
Also, a funny little story. She follows me ALL OVER our tiny apartment. For those of you that haven't been here, all the rooms are just a few steps from each other.
Today, she was taking a bath and I was taking the laundry out of the dryer (which is located just outside the bathroom door) I then took 2 steps toward my bedroom and threw the clean clothes on my bed. This took only seconds to accomplish. I could hear Nora splashing and bumping around in the bathtub, but suddenly I realized I didn't hear her in the water. I turned around and there she was at my feet!!! She got out of the bathtub! I put her back in, ran to get my phone (to call Tim) and within 10 seconds, i found her heading headfirst for the floor!!!! It was her way of getting out! I had to laugh at her insistence to follow me, no matter what she is doing! I guess it didn't hurt, because she didn't cry! Thankfully, our tub is close to the floor!!! I guess I can't turn my back on her for 10 seconds!!!
Have a great week!!!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to James & Emily Haughery and all their family at the loss of baby Livi. We are so thankful that she is finally in a place without pain and suffering. We pray that God would comfort James and Emily in this time of grieving, that God would sustain them and give them strength and peace.

Nora Took Her First Steps!
Today, Nora walked for the first time by herself!!!! She took about 8 steps to get her bottle from me! It was great!!! We continued to "bribe" her with her bottle and animal crackers to get her to keep walking back and forth!! I think she's going to go right from crawling, to RUNNING!!! She was VERY STEADY on her feet! I'm sure she'll be walking everywhere, VERY soon!! :) Enjoy the pictures!
